After having a profound realisation about the transient nature of life while walking on a beach with his friends, Sarvesh Agrawal, an IIT Madras alum, decided to pursue his desire to leave a lasting impact. In 2010, he began Internshala as a WordPress blog. Its sole purpose was to aggregate internships and articles. From those humble beginnings, it has now grown into a comprehensive platform for both students and companies.

Internshala provides internships, jobs, online training and placement guarantee courses. It has over 21 million candidates and over 300,000 registered companies. In fact today, it is trusted by over 400K companies! You might be surprised to know that for the first three years, Internshala was run entirely by interns. And Sarvesh as the only full-time employee.

This phase was crucial as the brand continued to grow and the platform began to take shape. This fueled its growth by keeping costs low, fostering innovation, and enabling rapid experimentation, all while staying true to its vision — empowering students with real-world experience.
